Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of dust samplers. This standard is applicable to samplers that collect total dust and respirable dust in the air at fixed points in the workplace. It is not applicable to individual dust samplers. This standard applies to dust sampler manufacturers and provides guidance for the correct selection of users.
