Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for production conditions and their evaluation methods for enterprises engaged in ship production (including construction and modification) within the territory of the People's Republic of China. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the production conditions of all types of steel, aluminum, fiber-reinforced plastic and wooden ship manufacturing enterprises at all levels. The term "ship" as mentioned in this standard refers to the provisions of the "Fishery Law of the People's Republic of China", the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Ships and Offshore Facilities Inspection", the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Ship Registration", the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Ship Inspections" and the "Ship Inspection Regulations of the People's Republic of China". According to the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Fishing Vessel Registration, all types of displacement or non-displacement, motorized or non-motorized ships, boats, submersibles and ocean platforms should be subject to statutory inspection, registration and export.
