Scope
This standard specifies the structural type and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of ship propulsion shafting sliding thrust bearings (hereinafter referred to as thrust bearings). This standard applies to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of forced circulation lubrication balance block sliding thrust bearings with journal diameters in the range of 90 mm to 310 mm. The design, manufacture and acceptance of rolling thrust bearings and other circulating lubricated sliding thrust bearings may be referred to.
