1 Subject Content and Application Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of flange cast steel sea water stop valve (hereinafter referred to as stop valve) with flange connection dimension in accordance with GB 569 and GB 2501.
This standard is applicable to the marine pipeline system with fresh water and sea water as the medium.

3 Product Classification

3.1 Type
The types of stop valve are specified as follows:
Type A - through-type stop valve with flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB 569.
Type AS - through-type stop valve with flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB 2501.
Type B - perpendicular-type stop valve with flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB 569.
Type BS - perpendicular-type stop valve with flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB 2501.
3.2 Basic parameters
See Table 1 for the basic parameters of stop valve.

3.4 Labeling examples
The through-type flange cast steel sea water stop valve with nominal pressure of 1.6MPa, nominal diameter of 40mm, flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB 569 is labeled as:
Stop valve A16040 CB/T 3196-1995
The perpendicular-type flange cast steel sea water stop valve with nominal pressure of 1.0MPa, nominal diameter of 100mm, flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB 2501 is labeled as:
Stop valve BS10100 CB/T 3196-1995

4 Technical Requirements

4.1 The technical requirements of stop valve shall meet the requirements of GB 600.
4.2 The materials for main parts of stop valve are in accordance with those specified in Table 4.

4.3 The flange connection dimension and sealing face of stop valve comply with those specified in GB 569 and GB 2501.
4.4 The structural lengths of Type AS and Type BS comply with those specified in GB 11698.
4.5 The wall thickness of stop valve complies with those specified in ZB/T U52 001.

5 Test Methods and Inspection Rules

5.1 The test methods of stop valve shall meet the requirements of GB 600.
5.2 The end-of-manufacturing inspection items and requirements of stop valve shall comply with those specified in Table 5.
