Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for brush nickel plating and steel processes for carbon steel, cast steel, cast iron, copper, alloy structural steel, aluminum and aluminum alloys, and bearing steel. This standard applies to the repair of metal parts. This standard does not apply to hard chromium plated surfaces and nitrided surfaces.
