Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of stuffed expansion joints (hereinafter referred to as expansion joints). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of expansion joints for civil ship steam piping systems with temperatures not higher than 205°C.
