Standard Background and Technology Evolution

This standard replaces the 2002 version of CY/T 35-2001, and for the first time includes rewritable optical discs in the specification scope. With the emergence of new technologies such as DVD±R/RW, the original standard can no longer cover the labeling requirements for multi-format optical discs.
