Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements and storage requirements for the storage environment, storage equipment, and packaging of archival microforms, as well as the method for establishing archives for the production of microforms. This standard is applicable to the preservation of silver-gelatin type black and white image archival microforms made of polyester and cellulose triacetate ester based materials. Microforms of other literature materials using the above film bases can also be implemented accordingly.
