Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for regular testing of water pumps related to the quality and safety of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to the periodic testing of water pumps related to the quality and safety of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. Periodic testing of water pumps that are not related to quality and safety is not within the scope of this standard. Periodic testing of water pumps for heavy water reactors and other reactor-type nuclear power units can be performed with reference to this standard.
