Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

Technical Dimension DL/T 1147-2009 DL/T 1147-2018 Significance of Revision
Definition of Terms 12 items 14 items (newly added falling distance and braking force) Improve the impact dynamics parameter system
Speed Differential Fall Arrester Static Load Test Requirements Delete the static load test, and add requirements such as wire rope diameter ≥5mm Strengthen dynamic protection performance

Analysis of key technical requirements

1. Classification and performance of fall arresters

The standard defines three types of fall arresters: speed differential fall arrester, rigid guide rail fall arrester and flexible guide rail fall arrester. The comparison of their core indicators of fall performance is as follows:

Type Rated Braking Load(120kg) Rated Working Load(100kg)
Falling Distance Impact Force Falling Distance Impact Force
Speed Differential Type ≤2.2m ≤9kN ≤2.0m ≤6kN
Rigid Guide Rail ≤1.4m ≤9kN ≤1.2m ≤6kN
Flexible guide rail (wire rope) ≤1.4m ≤9kN ≤1.2m ≤6kN

2. Material and process upgrade

  • Metal parts: Bolt performance level is upgraded to 6.8, and the hardness requirement of key axle pin is HRC35-45
  • Synthetic fiber belt: New requirements for the end seam of the stitching ≥13mm and the cross/Chuan stitching line
  • Anti-corrosion treatment: Clarify the hot-dip galvanizing process standards (except stainless steel parts)

Implementation suggestions

1. Purchase precautions

According to clause 4.3.2 of the standard, when purchasing a speed differential fall arrester, you should focus on checking:

  1. Whether the diameter of the wire rope is ≥5mm (measured with a vernier caliper)
  2. Whether there is an anti-wear protection device at the outlet
  3. Whether the top hanging point is equipped with a rotatable device

2. Preventive test management

According to clause 6.2.4 of the standard, an annual inspection system should be established:

Inspection items Test load Qualification standard
Rigid guide rail fall arrester 2.205kN No structural deformation
Connecting rope 2.205kN/5min No broken strands

FAQ

Q: How to determine the service life of a fall arrester?
A: According to standard 4.5.1.6, the effective period is 4 years after leaving the factory, and the longest period is 3 years after being put into use, and it must be scrapped after the fall test.

Q: What are the suggestions for buffer selection?
A: According to standard 4.5.7, type I buffer (braking force ≤4kN) is suitable for lighter personnel, and type II (braking force ≤6kN) is suitable for heavier working conditions.
