Scope
This part specifies the terminology, test purposes, test items, test conditions, test methods and requirements of the commutation chain of chain static synchronous compensator (chain STATCOM for short). The purpose is to test the dielectric strength, electrical characteristics and other operating characteristics of the commutation chain so that it can operate safely and reliably for a long time. This section is applicable to the 6kV~66kV commutation chain type test and factory test of chain-type STATCOM in power systems and industrial environments.
