Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

As the core standard of the power industry, DL/T 259-2023 comprehensively upgrades the calibration requirements for sulfur hexafluoride gas density relays. Compared with the 2012 version, this revision mainly reflects three major technical evolution directions:

Key terminology definition analysis

The standard defines 6 core terms, among which rated pressure is defined as the reference pressure value of the equipment under 20℃ standard atmospheric pressure. This parameter directly affects the setting accuracy of the density relay. Typical application case:

The rated pressure of a 500kV GIS device is 0.6MPa. When using the absolute pressure density relay, it needs to be converted to the absolute pressure value of 1.01325+0.6=1.61325bar for calibration according to clause 3.1 of the standard.


Core requirements for metrological performance

Three new key indicators are added in the 2023 version:

  1. Set point deviation: not exceeding ±1.5% of the range
  2. Contact resistance: ≤0.5Ω (≤1Ω for the 2012 version)
  3. Temperature compensation: error ≤2.5% in the range of -25℃~+55℃

  1. The laboratory needs to be equipped with a precision pressure source that complies with JB/T5528
  2. On-site calibration should refer to T/CEC414 specification
  3. Focus on the integrity of the calibration records in Appendix D
  4. Regularly compare the contact action values under different temperatures
