Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, test methods, transportation, storage, installation and operation and maintenance requirements for the use of gas-insulated metal enclosed transmission lines (GIL) with a rated voltage of 72.5kV and above and a frequency of 50Hz. This standard applies to GIL engineering design and procurement.
