Scope

This standard specifies the characteristic parameters of grounding devices in power plants, substations, and transmission line towers in power systems, as well as the general principles, content, methods, criteria, and cycles of soil resistivity testing. This standard is applicable to the condition assessment of existing grounding devices and the acceptance testing of grounding devices in new power plants, substations and line towers. The characteristic parameter testing of other grounding devices such as communication facilities and buildings can be carried out with reference to the relevant content.
