Scope

This guideline stipulates the content, data, basis, evaluation methods and evaluation requirements of hydropower station dam operation safety evaluation, and the conditions for determining the dam safety level. It specifically stipulates review of dam flood control, earthquake resistance, dam foundation, dam structure safety (including stress, stability, seepage safety, etc.), near dam bank and engineering slope safety, flood discharge and energy dissipation facility safety, metal structure equipment safety, etc. or evaluation methods and requirements. This guideline is applicable to the safety assessment of large and medium-sized hydropower station dams whose power systems have been put into operation.
