Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

Monitoring type Key indicators Monitoring frequency Technical means
Landslide monitoring Deformation, seepage, anchor stress Once a month (more frequent during flood season) GNSS/inclinometer/displacement meter
Debris flow monitoring Precipitation, soil moisture content, material source deformation Real-time online monitoring Infrared detector/video monitoring
Reservoir monitoring Vertical displacement, horizontal displacement Once a year First-class leveling

Technology evolution and standard background

This standard is based on the 2017 Energy Industry Standard Revision Plan and integrates the monitoring experience of 300m-class high dams such as Ertan and Xiluodu. Compared with the old version of the specification, the following is added:

  • Requirements for deformation monitoring of source bodies in debris flow formation areas
  • Electromagnetic interference protection standards for GNSS reference stations (≥200m)
  • Provisions for real-time analysis of automated monitoring data

Key implementation points

Landslide monitoring case

The reservoir area of a power station adopts a combined monitoring of borehole inclinometer + surface displacement meter. The buried depth requirement of the inclinometer tube is: ≥2m below the sliding surface, and cement mortar (rock) or clay slurry (soil) is used for backfill.

Warning classification mechanism

Level Landslide determination standard Debris flow determination standard
Yellow warning Displacement rate ≥5mm/month Hourly rainfall ≥30mm
Orange warning Displacement rate ≥10mm/month Source body displacement ≥50mm
Red warning Crack extension ≥20mm/day Flow velocity in circulation area ≥3m/s
