本标准规定了表示线密度的特克斯（Tex）制的原则和单位。
本标准适用于各类纺织纤维、半制品（例如条子、粗纱）、纱线及类似结构的纺织材料。
Scope
This standard specifies the principles and units of the Tex system for expressing linear density. Appendix A and Appendix B respectively provide the conversion relationship for calculating the Tex value from the count or fineness of other unit systems, as well as the steps to implement the Tex system in trade and industry. This standard applies to all types of textile fibers, semi-finished products (such as slivers, rovings), yarns and textile materials with similar structures.
