1 Scope

This standard specifies requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of silk scarf and shawl.

This standard is applicable to silk scarves and shawls which are mainly composed of silk fabrics made through weaving of pure silk, interweaving of silk and other yarns or blending of silk and other fiber (with silk content of 30% or above), and may serve as reference for burnt-out silk scarves. This standard is not applicable to silk scarves for infants and children.
