Scope

This part of GA 499 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, model preparation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, instructions for use preparation requirements and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of hot aerosol fire extinguishing devices. This section applies to hot aerosol fire extinguishing devices without pipe network. This section does not apply to pipe network hot aerosol fire extinguishing systems, cold aerosol fire extinguishing devices and aerosol fire extinguishing devices used in places with explosion hazards.
