Core technology innovation
Stab-proof layer thickness control
The new standard clarifies for the first time that the upper limit of the thickness of Class A stab-proof clothing is 16.5mm, and the three-point measurement is carried out using the special equipment in Appendix A. In actual applications, a certain type of non-metallic stab-proof clothing has achieved a 24J protection level at a thickness of 14.2mm through the optimization of the aramid-polyethylene composite structure.
Dynamic bending performance
Newly added bending degree ≤ 180N requirement (20mm deformation), passed the 300mm pressure head test in Appendix D. A police force's actual combat test showed that the metallic stab-proof clothing that meets the new standard has a 42% lower rate of restricted movement in tactical actions.
Test method innovation
- Multi-environment verification:Add harsh condition tests such as high temperature (55℃), low temperature (-20℃), and immersion in water for 30min
- Tool classification:Class B aircraft special clothing must pass D2 and D3 tool tests at the same time
- Automated judgment:The new version of Appendix B requires that the test equipment be equipped with an automatic puncture alarm system
Implementation suggestions
Manufacturers
- Establish a process control system for the thickness of the puncture-proof layer, and it is recommended to use online monitoring equipment
- Optimize material formulation, for example, one company uses ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene to reduce the weight by 17%
- Add a new bending test fixture to ensure accurate control of pressure under 20mm deformation
Users
- Require suppliers to provide a full set of test reports for the new version of Appendix AD when purchasing
- Regularly check the sealing of the puncture-proof protective cover (6L water pressure test)
- Pay attention to the product expiration date to avoid overuse that may lead to a decrease in protective performance
