1 Scope
This standard specifies minimum allowable values of water efficiency, water-saving evaluating values, water efficiency grades, technical requirements and test methods for faucets.
Faucets specified in this standard are applicable to be installed at cold and hot water pipeline for building facilities where the water supply pressure is no greater than 1.0MPa and the medium temperature no greater than 90℃.
This standard is not applicable to faucets for bathtub of the water outlet part, bathing, washing machine and temperature control.
2 Normative References
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.
GB 18145 Ceramic Cartridge Faucets
CJ/T 194 Non-contact Water Supply Device
QB 1334 Universal Technical Terms for Faucets
3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

Difference among flow rates
It refers to the difference among maximum average flow rate under different dynamic pressures for faucets (with accessories).

Minimum allowable values of water efficiency for faucets
It refers to the allowable maximum flow under the test conditions specified in this standard where faucets meet the requirements of processing and assembly quality as well as appearance quality and service performance.

Water efficiency grades for faucets
Grade I, II and III are divided into according to difference among flow rates and flow rate values of products under the test conditions specified in this standard where the faucets meet the requirements of processing and assembly quality as well as appearance quality and service performance; Grade I indicates maximum water efficiency and Grade III indicates the minimum allowable value of water efficiency.

Rated water efficiency grade
It refers to the water efficiency grades for faucets indicated by the manufacturer according to those specified in this standard where faucets are delivered from the factory.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
Under the test conditions specified in this standard, the ceramic cartridge faucets shall meet the performance requirements specified in GB 18145; universal faucets shall meet the performance requirements specified in QB 1334 and the non-contact faucets all shall meet corresponding performance requirements specified in CJ/T 194.
