1 Scope

This standard specifies the method of thermal performance test (including type approval test, acceptance test, arbitration test and operation test) of steam boiler and hot-water boiler with working pressure less than 3.8MPa; it also specifies that the test result is expressed in table form.
This standard is applicable to boilers manually or mechanically combusting solid fuel, those combusting liquid or gas fuels or those adopting electricity as thermal energy. It may be applicable to hot oil carrier boiler or that adopting garbage as fuel for reference. This standard is not applicable to heat recovery boiler.

3 Terms and Definitions

For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 2900.48-1983 and those listed below apply.
3.1
Solid fuel
Any fuel in the solid state, including coal, oil shale, bagasse, firewood and solid wastes.
3.2
Liquid fuel
Any fuel in liquid state, including fuel oil and industrial liquid wastes (e.g. alkali liquor, magnesium liquor, etc.).
3.3
Gas fuel
Any fuel in gas state, including natural gas, blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, city gas, liquefied gas, etc.
