Scope
This standard specifies the sample shape, size specifications, test equipment and test conditions for the transverse fracture strength test of tungsten carbide steel bonded hard alloy materials. This standard applies to the determination of transverse fracture strength of tungsten carbide steel bonded hard alloy with small plastic deformation. For tungsten carbide bonded cemented carbide materials with obvious plastic deformation before fracture, correct results may not be obtained when using this standard. It is recommended to measure their tensile strength.
