Analysis of Core Test Requirements

The test is divided into two categories: Method 41 (SO₂) and Method 42 (H₂S):

  • Severity level refinement: The sulfur dioxide concentration is set to five levels of 15-30cm³/m³, which is closer to the actual military data
  • State control: Safety test items are added to the working mode to verify the strong corrosion protection capability
  • of electronic components

Implementation Guidance and Suggestions

For the actual application of shipborne optoelectronic equipment:

  1. The spray tempering system in Appendix A is preferred to eliminate local condensation
  2. RF devices should be subjected to continuous 48h survivability testing according to Method 42 Level 3
