Classification and application scope of linerboard

According to GB/T 13024-2016, linerboard is divided into three grades according to quality: superior, first-class and qualified. Applicable to the manufacture of non-coated linerboard for corrugated board, excluding bleached pulp linerboard.

The technical indicators of boxboard are an important basis for measuring its quality. The following is a detailed description of the key indicators in the standard:

• Quantitative: The mass per unit area reflects the thickness of the cardboard.
• Ring pressure index: Measures the ability of the cardboard to withstand pressure and directly affects the packaging performance.
• Smoothness: The smoothness of the surface affects the printing effect and processing performance.

Actual application cases

For example, during the production process, if the ring pressure index of the boxboard does not meet the standard, it may cause the structure of the corrugated cardboard to be unstable, thereby affecting the packaging strength. Therefore, it is recommended that enterprises strictly control this indicator in production.

Inspection Rules

According to GB/T 13024-2016, the delivery inspection of boxboard adopts the counting sampling inspection procedure (GB/T 2828.1), with the following specific requirements:

• The inspection items are divided into Class A and Class B, with AQL of 6.5 and 10 respectively
• The normal inspection level is general inspection level I
• The sampling plan adopts the secondary sampling method
