《GB/T 13729-2002远动终端设备》由TC82（全国电力系统管理及其信息交换标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电力企业联合会。
本标准规定了远动终端设备的技术要求、试验方法、检验规则标志、包装、运输及贮存等。远动终端设备一般由远动终端主机、通信接口、远动执行部件及当地功能部件组成。本标准适用于各种远动终端设备，厂站测控通信单和微机型转发设备也可参照使用。

1 Scope

This standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of remote terminal unit equipment.
Remote terminal unit equipment generally consists of remote terminal unit (RTU) host, communication interface, remote execution unit and local function unit.
This standard is applicable to various remote terminal unit equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment); and plant/station measurement & control communication unit and microcomputer forwarding equipment may also refer to this standard.
