《GB/T 14798-2008土工合成材料 现场鉴别标识》由TC209（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会）归口，TC209SC7（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会产业用纺织品分会）执行，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准等同采用国际标准ISO 10320:1999《土工布及其有关产品 现场鉴别标识》（英文版）。
本标准代替GB 14798-1993《土工布 鉴别标志》。
本标准规定了土工合成材料需标明的信息，用于使用者现场鉴别产品是否与订货相符。
本标准的主要目的是为了准确鉴别土工合成材料，例如鉴别没有包装的或者不是成卷的土工合成材料产品。
本标准规定的信息不能代替技术数据，也不能用于验证产品与技术要求的符合程度。
本标准对GB 14798-1993作了以下修改：
――由强制性标准转为推荐性标准；
――标准名称改为“土工合成材料 现场鉴别标识”；
――在第3章中增加了“供货商”和“产品名称”的定义；
――在第4章中鉴别标识的内容进行了修改和补充，并增加了“标识”标记方式的内容。

Scope

This standard specifies the information to be marked on geosynthetics, which is used for users to identify whether the product conforms to the order on site. The main purpose of this standard is to accurately identify geosynthetics, such as unpackaged or non-rolled geosynthetic products. The information specified in this standard cannot replace the technical data, nor can it be used to verify the conformity of the product with the technical requirements.
