Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB/T 14905-2020 is a standard for the determination of interlayer adhesion strength of rubber and plastic hoses. Its technical points include:
  • Term definition: clarify the definition of the bonding interface (liner/reinforcement layer, outer cover/reinforcement layer, etc.)
  • Specimen type: applicable scenarios of 8 types of specimens (1-8 types) (different structures such as machineweaving, braidedwoven, etc.)
  • Test equipment: Class 0.5 or Class 1 testing machine, 50mm/min standard peeling speed

Implementation Guidance and Suggestions

Application Case: When selecting 4 type sample (inner diameter ≤ 20mm) in the production of hydraulic hose, please note:
  1. Preferably use watercoldcutting to avoid heat effects
  2. Use PTFE coated support plate to maintain flat peeling
  3. For multi-peak curves, analyze according to I S O 6 1 3 3

Precautions

  • The steel wire reinforcement layer needs special instructions due to the influence of dispersion
  • The standard appendix (Figure 1-8) needs to be used with a new set of drawings
  • Environmental adjustment: 16h (STP conditions)
