Scope
This document specifies the classification and designation, ordering details, manufacturing process, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certification for hot-rolled and forged bars (hereinafter referred to as bars) of wrought superalloys (hereinafter referred to as alloys). It also describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to hot-rolled bars of wrought superalloys for the manufacture of rotating components (hereinafter referred to as rotating component bars) and hot-rolled and forged bars of wrought superalloys for the manufacture of load-bearing components (hereinafter referred to as load-bearing component bars). The chemical composition also applies to superalloy ingots, billets, and their products.
