《GB/T 15174-1994可靠性增长大纲》由TC24（全国电工电子产品可靠性与维修性标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为工业和信息化部（电子）。
本标准规定了编制可靠性增长大纲的要求和导则。本标准适用于通过试验进行可靠性改进的场合，其一般原则也同样可适用于其他活动。

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements and guidelines for the preparation of the reliability growth program. For reliability to grow, weak links in hardware and software need to be exposed and eliminated. This standard is appropriate when the specification requires a reliability program for the equipment (electronic, electromechanical, mechanical hardware, and software), or when the design is known to be immature and cannot meet the requirements of proof testing without modification. After explaining the basic concepts, the required management, planning, testing (laboratory and field testing), failure analysis and improvement techniques are described. In order to estimate the level of reliability achieved after growth, the mathematical model is also briefly outlined. This standard applies to occasions where reliability improvement is carried out through testing, and its general principles are equally applicable to other activities. Improvement work can be carried out on the basis of the following results: - theoretical studies (such as failure mode and effects analysis); - field tests; - user experience; - projects whose main purpose is not devoted to reliability improvement .
