In-depth interpretation of GB/T 15324—2023 "Test Methods for Physical Properties of Aircraft Tire Inner Tubes"

I. Background and significance of standard revision

Since its first release in 1994, the GB/T 15324 series of standards has been revised twice, gradually improving the physical properties test methods for aircraft tire inner tubes. The main purpose of this revision is to adapt to the needs of industry technology development, optimize the test process, and add two new test items: the bonding strength between the baseless valve and the rubber pad, and the bonding strength between the reinforcing cord and the tire body rubber.

Through these updates, the standard further improves the safety performance and reliability of aircraft tires, and provides stronger technical support for quality control in my country's aviation industry.

II. Comparison of core test items

III. Detailed interpretation of the test method

1. Tensile performance test (5.1)

According to GB/T528 standard, the tensile strength, elongation stress and fracture characteristics of the tire body rubber and joint rubber are measured. Pay special attention to the sample preparation requirements:

  • The tire body rubber sample is sampled along the extrusion direction
  • The joint rubber sample is sampled perpendicular to the joint direction
  • The sample thickness is controlled at 2.0mm±0.2mm

2. Aging performance test (5.2)

After aging at 70°C for 24 hours, the change in tensile properties is measured. The key is to keep the test conditions of the specimens consistent before and after aging, and process the data in accordance with GB/T3512.

3. New content of adhesive strength test

Adhesion strength between valve without base and rubber pad (5.7):Evaluate the bonding quality between valve and rubber sleeve by calculating adhesion.

Adhesion strength between reinforcing cord and tire body rubber (5.8):Take samples along the cord layer direction to test the bonding effect.

IV. Implementation suggestions

  1. Strictly follow the specimen preparation specifications:Ensure that the thickness, shape and quantity of the specimens meet the standard requirements.
  2. Strengthen equipment calibration:Key instruments such as tensile testing machines need to be calibrated regularly to ensure measurement accuracy.
  3. Pay attention to environmental control:Laboratory temperature and humidity conditions must comply with GB/T2941 regulations.
  4. Strengthen data processing capabilities:It is recommended to use professional software for data analysis to ensure the accuracy of the results.
