―――有关背景的描述作为附录A 给出(1998年版的7.1.1;本版的附录A);
―――删除了图2和图3(见1998年版的7.3);
―――删除了表2(见1998年版的7.4.4);
―――暴露在伽玛辐照下的环境背景辐照效应,将由试样受到的标称剂量率为0.2Gy/h、暴露的总剂量为1Gy,改为将由试样受到的标称剂量率为0.02Gy/h、暴露的总剂量为0.1Gy确定(1998年版的7.4.3;本版的5.3);
―――暴露在伽玛辐照下的有害核辐照效应,将由试样受到的标称剂量率和总剂量组合之一,改为将由试样受到的标称剂量率为1000Gy/h、暴露的总剂量为1000Gy确定(1998年版的7.4.4表2;本版的5.4);

Scope

This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the measurement methods and test procedures for evaluating the performance of optical fibers and optical cables in a given gamma irradiation environment. This section is applicable to the determination of radiation-induced attenuation values of cabled or uncabled A1, A2 multimode fibers and B single-mode fibers exposed to gamma radiation. This section does not apply to the measurement of non-light-transmitting component materials in optical cables. If the optical cable materials are exposed to radiation and will deteriorate, further research and other measurement methods are required.
