Background of standard formulation and analysis of technological evolution

Background: With the development of the packaging industry, the problem of contact corrosion of materials on metal surfaces has become increasingly prominent. The GB/T 16266 series of standards aims to provide scientific and unified test methods for packaging materials to evaluate their impact on metal surfaces.

Technological evolution: From 1996 to 2019, the standard has undergone several revisions, and the main improvements include:

  • Added environmental condition control to ensure the repeatability of experimental results
  • Refined the test piece preparation and cleaning requirements to reduce human errors
  • Optimized the test method for granular materials and improved operational standardization

Instrument and reagent requirements

Key instruments: Electric blower drying oven (Model: GB/T 30435), dryer (Specification: GB/T15723, inner diameter 240mm), hair dryer (hot and cold dual-purpose).

Implementation Suggestions

Operational recommendations:

  • Strictly control environmental conditions in accordance with standard requirements (temperature 20-30°C, humidity ≤80%)
  • Avoid bare hand contact during specimen preparation
  • Granular materials must be spread evenly to ensure appropriate coverage

Result evaluation:Refer to Appendix A and classify the results from 0 to 5 levels according to the degree of corrosion. If the difference in the three parallel tests does not exceed one level, take two pieces of the same level for classification.
