《GB/T 16459-2016面铣刀寿命试验》由TC91(全国刀具标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为中国机械工业联合会。
Scope
This standard specifies recommended procedures for milling steel and cast iron parts by carbide face milling cutters in life tests. It is suitable for laboratory and production practice. Two types of cutting conditions can be considered in face milling: a) conditions in which the tool fails mainly due to wear; b) conditions in which the tool fails mainly due to other phenomena, such as cutting edge fracture or plastic deformation. This standard only considers the recommended values for tests focusing on tool wear. Trials of the second type of conditions described above are under investigation. This standard specifies the specifications for the following factors when performing tool life tests on face milling cutters as shown in Figure 1: workpiece, tool, cutting fluid, cutting conditions, equipment, evaluation of tool failure and tool life, test procedures, and results. Documentation, evaluation and reporting.
