Scope

This standard specifies the overall system and services for EDI message processing. In other standards, other aspects of message processing systems and services are specified. The message processing system and business-related standards are listed in Table 1 of ITU-T F.400/X.400. The ITU-T F.400 series standards stipulate the public services formed on the MHS, and the mutual visits between the public services to the MHS. The ITU-T X.400 series standards stipulate the technical aspects of MHS, etc., and the general system structure of MHS is stipulated in ITU-T X.402/ISO/IEC 10021-2. In ITU-T X.435/ISO/IEC 10021-9, the content of EDI message processing technology is specified.
