Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the pressure loss generated when water passes through the valve for agricultural irrigation (hereinafter referred to as the valve) in a steady flow state. The range and accuracy of valve performance parameters obtained from the test can be used by agricultural irrigation system designers to compare the pressure loss of various types of valves. Through the pressure loss test, the functional relationship between the flow rate of the valve and the pressure loss can be obtained. This standard also stipulates the processing method of the test data and the content of the test report. This standard does not address the use, design and application of the product. The test methods specified in this standard are applicable to valves with equal nominal inlet and outlet sizes.
