Scope

This standard specifies the definition of the remittance advice message (REMADV) for electronic data interchange (EDI) between trading partners in the administrative, commercial and transportation industries. The messages are the details of communications between trading partners (eg, sellers, buyers, financial institutions), payment for goods and/or services provided, or other forms of financial settlement. This standard applies to domestic and international trade. It is based on common business practices and is not limited to a particular type of business or industry.
