Introduction

GB/T 18826-2016 Standard Overview

GB/T 18826-2016 "1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a) for Industrial Use" standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and safety precautions of this product. Compared with the old version of the standard, the main revisions include the optimization of technical indicators and the addition of halogenated unsaturated hydrocarbons and other items.

Comparison of technical indicators

Project Superior product (2016 edition) Qualified product (2016 edition) Comparison with the old version
HFC-134aContent/% ≥99.90 ≥99.50 Optimized from 99.9% to 99.90%
Moisture/% ≤0.001 ≤0.005 Optimized from 0.005 to 0.001
Halogenated unsaturated hydrocarbons/% ≤0.0040 - New items

Test method analysis

HFC-134a content determination adopts gas chromatography, and the relative mass correction factor of each component is calculated by the correction area normalization method. It is recommended to use a fused silica capillary column (60m×0.32mm) as the chromatographic column, with an initial temperature of 80℃, a program temperature increase to 140℃, and maintain for 3 minutes.

Water content determination refers to GB/T7376-2008 standard method, and chloride and non-condensable gas determination adopt turbidity method and gas chromatography respectively.

Implementation recommendations

  • Production units should strictly follow the standard requirements for quality control and calibrate instruments and equipment regularly.
  • It is recommended that enterprises establish a complete HFC-134a product traceability system to ensure that product quality can be traced.
  • In terms of inspection rules, it is recommended to give priority to type inspection and make a comprehensive judgment based on the factory inspection results.
