Scope

This part of GB/T 18988--2003 (hereinafter referred to as this standard) specifies the terms and test methods for the performance characteristics of positron emission tomography devices. Positron emission tomography devices detect annihilation radiation (annihilation radiation) of positron-emitting radionuclides by coincidence detection. The test methods specified in this section were chosen to reflect as closely as possible the clinical use of positron emission tomography devices. It is intended that the test method performed by the manufacturer will enable them to characterize the positron emission tomography device. Therefore, the technical conditions given in the product accompanying documents (accompanying documents) should comply with this standard. This standard does not specify which tests the manufacturer will perform on a single tomography device.
