本标准规定了普通螺纹的基本牙型，适用于一般用途的机械紧固螺纹联接，其螺纹本身不具有密封功能。

1 Scope

This standard specifies the basic profile for general purpose metric screw threads.

This standard is applicable to general-purpose mechanically fastened screw joints, of which the threads do not have the sealing function.

For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. 3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 14791 apply.

4 Basic profile

The basic profile shall comply with the requirements of Figure 1. The basic profile is shown as a thick line in the figure.

5 Dimensions

The dimensions of the basic profile for general purpose metric screw threads shall be calculated using the following formulas. See Table 1 for the specific dimensions.
