Safety risk prevention and control system

Low temperature injury protection: Contact with LNG requires special masks, leather gloves and tight protective clothing. Skin contact can cause cold burns, and environments below -10℃ may cause hypothermia.
Fire prevention and control: Dry powder fire extinguishers (potassium carbonate) are designated fire extinguishing equipment. Direct fire extinguishing with water is prohibited. Pool fire radiation needs to be covered with high expansion foam.

Standard Evolution and Technological Innovation

Compared with the 2003 version of the standard, GB/T 19204-2020 Main upgrades:
1. Added definitions of terms such as rollover and BLEVE
2. Introduced domestic LNG example component data (3 new cases in Table 1)
3. Revised the evaporative gas diffusion model and improved the QRA analysis method
4. Updated the material list and added new building materials such as prestressed concrete


Implementation suggestions

Storage tank management: LNG from different sources should be stored in separate tanks, the nitrogen content should be controlled below 1%, and the density should be monitored regularly to prevent stratification.
Emergency response: Establish a three-level response mechanism for LNG leaks, and equip with infrared detectors to monitor the gas diffusion range in real time.
Design verification: The pressure system needs to verify the temperature stress through flexible analysis, and the flange connection requires special anti-leakage design.
