1. Standard Overview

GB/T20100-2016 "Stainless Steel Fiber Sintered Filter Felt" is a technical specification for stainless steel fiber sintered filter felt products, replacing the previous GB/T20100—2006 version. This standard specifies in detail the classification, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of the product, and is applicable to the production and application of stainless steel fiber sintered felt (hereinafter referred to as filter felt).

2. Background of Standard Formulation

With the development of filtration technology, the market has put forward higher requirements for the performance of filter felt. The new version of the standard adds CY, DY, GY series filter felts and their marking methods, and refines the technical indicators to meet the needs of different application scenarios.

4.1 Product classification and labeling method

The standard divides filter felt into three series:

  • CY series: porosity 75%±10%
  • DY series: porosity 80%±10%
  • GY series: porosity 65%±10%

The labeling method includes the filter felt code, filtration accuracy and protective screen parameters. For example: CY10 means CY series, filtration accuracy is 10μm.

4.3 Implementation Suggestions

In actual applications, it is recommended to select the appropriate series and model of filter felt according to the specific filtering requirements. For example:

  • High-pressure filtration scenario: It is recommended to use the DY series (high porosity) to improve the filtration efficiency.
  • High-precision filtration requirements: Select the CY series, which is suitable for applications with strict control of particle size.

4.4 Application Case Analysis

In the hydraulic system, DY20 filter felt is used to remove pollutants larger than 20μm. Through the bubble point pressure test, its minimum pressure is 17Pa, indicating that it has good filtration performance.
