GB/T 20413—2017 Superphosphate Standard Overview
GB/T 20413—2017 Superphosphate is the national standard of the People's Republic of China, applicable to loose and granular superphosphate products for agricultural use made from phosphate rock powder treated with industrial sulfuric acid. This standard replaces the previous GB/T 20413—2006, adds requirements and determination methods for water-soluble phosphorus and sulfur, and refines the regulations on product labeling and packaging.

- Increase in testing requirements for water-soluble phosphorus and sulfur: The mass fraction/% of water-soluble phosphorus and the mass fraction/% of sulfur are added, and the corresponding determination methods are provided.
- Limits of heavy metals and hazardous substances: Added limit requirements and determination methods for arsenic, cadmium, lead, chromium, and mercury, and clarified the detection standards for volatile organic compounds and trichloroacetaldehyde.

Comparison of test methods with standards
Determination of available phosphorus and water-soluble phosphorus: The quinoline phosphomolybdic acid weight method (arbitration method) or the automatic analyzer method (GB/T 22923) is used. Accurate measurements are performed using laboratory equipment such as a constant temperature drying oven, glass sand crucible, etc. to ensure that the results meet the standard requirements.
Determination of sulfur content: Use the combustion method or plasma emission spectrometry (NY/T 1117—2010) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the determination.
