《GB/T 20543-2006银行业务和相关金融服务 国际银行帐号 （IBAN）》由TC180（全国金融标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国人民银行。
本标准规定了国际银行帐号的构成要素，以便于在金融领域以及其他行业进行跨境数据交换时的数据处理工作。本标准没有规定实施本标准所涉及的内部进程、文件组织技术、存储介质、文字等。也不用于推进网络内部的信息处理进程，只用于系统间传输文本数据。

Scope

This standard specifies the constituent elements of an International Bank Account Number (IBAN). In order to facilitate data processing in cross-border data exchange in the financial field and other industries. IBANs are designed for automated processing. However, under appropriate circumstances, it can also be easily applied to the exchange of information in other media (such as the exchange of paper documents, etc.). This standard does not specify the internal processes, document organization techniques, storage media, text, etc. involved in the implementation of this standard. It is also not used to promote the information processing process within the network, and is only used to transmit text data between systems (networks).
