本标准定义了商户类别代码。本标准根据商户的业务类型将商户归于某一类。这些代码仅规定了可能会发生金融零售业务的商户类别。本标准规定了商户类别代码国家保留使用和行业保留使用代码段的注册和维护机制。
Scope
This standard defines merchant category codes. This standard places merchants in a category based on their business type. These codes only specify the categories of merchants in which financial retail operations may occur. This standard specifies the registration and maintenance mechanism for the country-reserved and industry-reserved code segments of merchant category codes. How merchant category codes are used is outside the scope of this standard.
