Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the stem content rate in tobacco leaves, as well as the sampling method of tobacco leaves and the determination method of stem content rate in leaves. This standard is applicable to flue-cured tobacco, burley tobacco and other tobacco leaves after threshing or hand-tearing. Note: This standard is also applicable to air-cured tobacco, cigars, etc. Different types of tobacco leaves require different airflow velocities for leaf stem separation. The airflow velocity in the air separation box can be adjusted through the calibration disc, see Appendix A.
