Interpretation of GB/T 21140—2017 Standard for Finger-joined Non-structural Materials

1. Overview of the Standard

GB/T 21140—2017 "Finger-joined Non-structural Materials" is a revision of GB/T 21140—2007. The main technical contents include:

  • Modify the name of the standard
  • Adjust terms and definitions
  • Optimize the classification method
  • Add physical and chemical performance indicators (such as formaldehyde emission)
  • Update the calculation method of flexural strength

2. Classification and Structure

Finger-joined non-structural materials are divided into three categories according to their water resistance:

3. Dimensional deviation and appearance quality

Dimensional deviation is an important indicator to measure product quality. The specific requirements are as follows:

Thickness curvature ±0.2 mm, 1.0%

4. Physical and chemical performance indicators

Physical and chemical properties are the core standards for evaluating the quality of finger-joined materials. The specific requirements are as follows:

Formaldehyde emission - In accordance with GB18580
