《GB/T 212-2008煤的工业分析方法》由TC42（全国煤炭标准化技术委员会）归口，TC42SC1（全国煤炭标准化技术委员会煤炭检测分会）执行，主管部门为中国煤炭工业协会。
本标准规定了煤和水煤浆的水分、灰分和挥发分的测定方法和固定碳的计算方法。
本标准适用于褐煤、烟煤、无烟煤和水煤浆。

This standard specifies the determination methods of moisture content, ash content and volatile matter in coal and coal water mixture and the calculation method of fixed carbon.
This standard is applicable to lignite, soft coal, hard coal and coal water mixture.
