Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
| Test categories | Key items | Technical changes (vs 2008 version) |
|---|---|---|
| Type test | Temperature rise test, impulse withstand voltage, accuracy verification | New requirements for 750kV/1000kV equipment |
| Routine test | Partial discharge, dielectric loss, sealing | Optimized test sequence flow chart |
| Special test | Mechanical strength, internal arc fault | Specify the test methods for GIS equipment |
Detailed explanation of key technical requirements
Key indicators of temperature rise test
The test voltage needs to be selected according to the rated voltage factor:
- 1.2 times the rated voltage (steady state)
- 1.9 times the rated voltage (continuous 8h)
- 1.5/1.9 times the rated voltage (30s transient)
The allowable temperature rise value needs to be corrected for altitude according to Table 4, and it needs to be reduced by 0.4%-0.5% for every 1000m above sea level
Recommendations for the implementation of the standard
Requirements for test equipment selection
| Equipment type | Accuracy requirements |
|---|---|
| Partial discharge instrument | ≥100kHz bandwidth, 5pC sensitivity |
| Dielectric loss tester | 0.001% resolution |
Special note: 750kV and above equipment requires a dedicated shielded test environment
Comparison between the old and new standards
Main updates of the 2017 version:
- Add test requirements for system nominal voltage 750kV/1000kV
- Improve test sequence logic (add flow chart in Figure 1)
- Supplement special test clauses for gas-insulated products
- Clarify insulation verification requirements before and after short-circuit tests
