本标准规定了与乘客、船员、及其设备的安全有关的声光信号和指示。本标准拟不用作船舶之间或船与岸之间的航行用声光信号。


Scope

This standard specifies audible and visual signals and indications related to the safety of passengers, crew, ships and their equipment. The selection and installation of these visual and audible signals and indications shall ensure clear interpretation in each case. This standard is not intended to be used as audible and visual signals for navigation between ships or between ships and shores.
